Waiting on God can be one of the hardest parts of following Him. We want answers, movement, and resolution—but God often works on a timeline that looks very different from ours.

In Part V of Street Smart, we look at James 5:7–11 and what it means to wait faithfully without trying to force outcomes before their time. Waiting isn't wasted time. It's often the very place where God grows our faith, shapes our character, and teaches us to keep doing the next faithful thing while trusting Him with the timing.

But how we wait matters, too. The frustration of waiting can easily spill over onto the people closest to us.

James reminds us that the Lord is near—not only as a source of comfort, but as a reminder to treat others with patience and grace while we wait.

And sometimes, the end of a difficult season doesn't come with all the answers we hoped for. Job's story reminds us that some losses aren't resolved on this side of eternity. Yet even there, we can discover a compassionate and merciful God who remains faithful through it all.
